Despite a total lockdown of Wuhan and the surrounding Hubei Province, Chinese residents living in the epicenter of the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19) outbreak are still finding ways to leave the area and potentially spread the virus elsewhere.
Internal documents reportedly obtained by the Chinese-language Epoch Times reveal that about 25,000 people a day are leaving Wuhan. Copies of daily reports put together by the Hubei Communications Administration show that more than 130,500 people left Wuhan between Feb. 4 to Feb. 19, while nearly half a million left the Hubei province during that same time period.
Wuhan’s three wireless communications companies – China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom – submitted geolocation data to the local government, which took a tally of all people both in Wuhan and Hubei who stayed for at least 24 hours before fleeing – this 24-hour metric suggesting that these folks actually live in the area and weren’t just visiting or delivering goods and services.
Based on this data, the communist Chinese government was able to confirm that tens of thousands of people are breaching its mandatory quarantines every single day. And many of them, it’s safe to say, were probably exposed to the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVi-19) in some way, shape, or form before leaving.
“Most Wuhan residents went to nearby cities within Hubei Province,” reports The Epoch Times. “Others have traveled to 30 other provinces and directly governed municipalities across the country – as far away as Tibet.”
Listen below as Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, talks about how we’re now in a countdown approaching the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19) day of reckoning:
The mobile phone data procured by these telecomms and submitted to the communist Chinese government confirms other data showing that about five million Wuhanese left the area prior to Jan. 23 when the official lockdown was imposed. And nobody knows how many of these folks brought the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19) with them to other parts of the world.
Since Jan. 23, the only forms of transportation permitted in Wuhan are those involving the transport of medical supplies, goods for basic living, and utilities such as water, electricity, and gas. All other transport remains prohibited.
There are very strict measures that have been put in place regarding even these three permitted forms of transportation, including the requirement that drivers apply for “epidemic prevention and control” passes. There’s also a “dedicated pass” that works more than once for medical and food drivers.
The reason why so many Wuhanese have been fleeing the area is not only because of the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19) itself, but also the government requirements that force uninfected people to live right alongside infected people.
“The Wuhan government locked down the city and forced healthy people to live together with infected people in town,” saying Tang Jingyuan, a China affairs commentator based out of the U.S. “Also, food supply is a big problem in the city right now. So, the healthy people want to escape as soon as possible.”
“At the same time, the infected people can’t receive proper treatment, no matter in a hospital or at a quarantine center. They want to be saved and want to leave the city as well.”
Many ill Wuhanese people with mild symptoms say they’re having a hard time getting proper care even at the quarantine centers and makeshift hospitals, where supplies and personnel remain scarce – and this is in addition to the fact that these quarantines aren’t even working.
“If they are quarantined with infected people, they believe that they would be infected immediately,” Tang added. “They want to leave Wuhan as well.”
