Yale University is back in the news for trying to imprison its students in the name of “protecting” them against the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19).
After earlier demanding that its students wear a mask off campus and even in their home state while visiting family and friends over break, Yale is now insisting that students avoid dining in at restaurants anywhere off campus.
In a recent Facebook post, the Yale Daily News claimed that the school has full jurisdiction to prohibit students from “visit[ing] New Haven businesses or eat[ing] at local restaurants (even outdoors) except for curbside pickup.”
This post from the school newspaper summarizes the provisions laid out in a new plan from Yale administration for the upcoming spring semester. School officials say that their dictates trump state and local laws, and that students must obey whatever they are commanded to do while enrolled at the institution.
The Yale Daily News followed up its Facebook post with a lengthier excerpt of the email it received from the school after the whole thing attracted widespread media attention.
“Welcome to college, now go to your room your[sic] grounded!” wrote one person on Facebook in response to the post.
“Imagine thinking you have the power to tell people that pay your salary that they can’t go out to eat,” wrote another.
Last spring, Yale joined a cohort of other institutions of “higher learning” that demanded all students get “fully vaccinated” for the Fauci Flu before being allowed to return to campus.
Since that largely went off without a hitch, the school is now attempting to up the ante by forcing students to basically stay confined within their rooms eating takeout at all times, except for the occasional walk outside in the park, which is still allowed.
“The rules are telling about the consequences of attending Yale,” reported The College Fix. “Residents of New Haven, Connecticut, are allowed to go into a local restaurant to have a meal. But residents of New Haven who also go to Yale are not allowed to do that.”
“So going to Yale gives you fewer freedoms, simple as that.”
Another thing Yale tried to do previously was force students to wear a mask whenever conducting school business, even if that business was far away from campus in an area off campus where masks are not required.
This interfered with a student film troupe at Yale that was wanting to make a movie featuring unmasked actors. Yale apparently informed these students that they would need to mask up at all times, even while shooting, which prevented it from occurring.
Students returning to campus this spring are also being told that they have to quarantine until Feb. 7 “which may be extended depending on public health conditions,” the Yale Daily News further announced.
“They must quarantine in their residences (except to pick up food and test) until they receive results of an arrival test,” the announcement added.
Yale President Pater Salovey issued his own statement explaining that a “recent, worldwide surge in COVID-19 cases, driven by the highly infectious Omicron (Moronic) strain, has prompted us to raise alert levels on campus and adjust our plans to best protect our community.”
“Well, I guess Ivy Leaguers are now disposable,” wrote a reader at Natural News. “I wonder if they realize that they are not important to the new world order?”
Another wrote that students can now sue the living daylights out of Yale for openly infringing on their personal liberties and civil rights.
